So what makes Dan Gardner different from the incumbant?

I respect anyone willing to serve. What I bring is a different background — teaching civics every day, military service, and working agriculture here in southern Utah. Those experiences shape how I approach leadership and policy.

Protecting agriculture and water rights, defending constitutional liberties, and supporting strong families and communities.

I’m a constitutional conservative. Limited government, personal responsibility, and protecting individual liberty guide how I approach legislation.

I believe you can defend your principles while still treating people with respect. Good policy comes from thoughtful conversation and collaboration. I look forward to working with other Legislators.

What kind of legislator will you be?

I’ll be a legislator who listens carefully, studies issues thoughtfully, and works steadily to represent the people of this district with integrity.

What do you think about education?

As a teacher, I see every day how important education is. I believe parents should remain central in their children’s education and that schools should focus on teaching knowledge, critical thinking, and citizenship.

What do you think about public lands?

Public lands matter to our economy and our way of life. I support responsible access, protecting grazing rights, and ensuring rural communities have a strong voice in land-use decisions.

What’s your position on taxes?

Government should be disciplined and focused on essential responsibilities. I support reducing unnecessary tax burdens and making sure tax policy strengthens families and local economies.

Will you stand up to leadership if necessary?

My responsibility is to the people of this district and to the Constitution. I’ll always listen carefully, but I won’t hesitate to defend the principles I believe in and was elected to defend.

Why should you support me?

I’m running to represent you—not to follow a script or carry someone else’s agenda. I’ve built my life here in southern Utah, and I understand the responsibility that comes with earning your trust. As a veteran, teacher, and cattleman, I’ve learned to show up, listen, and do the work the right way. I’ll focus on the issues that matter to our rural communities and make sure your voice is heard at the Capitol—not overlooked. If you want steady leadership, real accountability, and someone who answers to you, I’d be honored to have your support.
